On 6 May 2025, CHRONICLE was presented by consortium partner, Smart Innovation Norway (SIN), at the SmartLivingEPC final event titled “Building the Future: Digital Innovations for Energy-Efficient and Sustainable Living. The event took place in Brussels and was co-organised by CHRONICLE and SmarterEPC.

The event brought together leading experts and stakeholders from across Europe to explore how cutting-edge digital solutions can shape a more energy-efficient and sustainable built environment.

SIN showcased CHRONICLE’s vision, digital tools, and pilot site implementations. A strong emphasis was placed on the critical importance of social innovation and user engagement in the development of digital solutions for energy efficiency.

During the presentation, SIN highlighted a key challenge in many innovation projects: while advanced technologies are developed, end users are too often excluded from the process. This disconnect can significantly limit the impact of even the most promising innovations.

CHRONICLE underlined the necessity of integrating user engagement strategies to ensure digital tools reach and benefit the communities they are designed for. As SIN stressed, bridging the gap between technology and the actual needs of users is vital for achieving meaningful, lasting impact.
